Elefant Records continues to be the protagonist of the soundtracks of many of the new releases on video-streaming platforms. And this time in style. “In Love All Over Again” is the new series by Carlos Montero, creator of series such as “Élite” (which has more than 30 Elefant songs on its soundtrack), “The Mess You Leave Behind” (with 11 Elefant songs in its only season) or “Física Y Química”.
The first season of “In Love All Over Again” has eight episodes and has been released on Netflix last February 14th with the participation of Georgina Amorós, Franco Masini, Carlos González, Guillermo Toledo, Silvia Abril and many more actors and actresses that complete an incredible cast, and the direction of, among others, Carlota Pereda (currently on the front page for the award-winning “Piggy”) or Mateo Gil (“Nobody Knows Anybody”, “Blackthorn”, “The Minions of Midas”). On “In Love All Over Again” we can listen to up to 19 songs that have been released on our label, making up a soundtrack that features artists such as FAMILY, LA CASA AZUL, LA BIEN QUERIDA, JUNIPER MOON, LA MONJA ENANA, NOSOTRÄSH, LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE, COOPER and many more. The perfect musical backdrop for a funny, gentle and down-to-earth romantic comedy, with two protagonists who display superb chemistry. A joy to see and hear.

“1991-2001” is a 20-song compilation – of which two songs are completely new and were just recently recorded – that sums up the 10-year span of AUTOMATICS’ existence. That is, this is a summary of one of the most important independent Spanish pop groups of the 90s. Clifford Records, our friend Laureano’s label, is in charge of the release of this double-vinyl, 500-copy limited edition that is simply a sonic artifact.
This will not be the only time we collaborate with Clifford Records; there will be more compilations and re-releases, but we can talk about that later on. For now, we want to talk about AUTOMATICS, who split up in August 2001 after releasing a wonderful CD-Single with three songs produced by Carlos Hernández and with the vocal collaboration of LOS PLANETAS’ J. The single foretold a powerful fourth album that they ultimately never recorded, leaving the demos for those songs lost in a box. AUTOMATICS had such an impressive live show and they showed it off again and again in all the most important festivals in our country. There were stellar moments, like at Adrenalin Village in London with nine other European groups for the MTV Eurobaschhh competition, which was broadcast via internet all around the world and where the group proved themselves to be on the same level as the nine best European groups. The following year they would be the only Spanish representatives in the prestigious French festival “Les [ Read more ]

Toward the end of 1997, Jimmy Tamborello got in touch with Elefant Records to talk about remixing some songs from the “Space Rock Melodies” album by AUTOMATICS.
In the spring of 1998, the compilation “Supermarket” was released, and it included his remix of “Too Shy”. Jimmy Tamborello has been one of the key characters in understanding international electronic pop for the last 13 years. He has participated in so many different projects, some notable ones include DNTEL, FIGURING, HEADSET, and, most famously, THE POSTAL SERVICE.
Jimmy Tamborello formed THE POSTAL SERVICE with Ben Gibbard from DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, and they released only one album, “Give Up”, on February 18th, 2003. This year was the ten year anniversary of the album’s release, one of the highest selling albums in the history of the Sub Pop label.
To celebrate this rerelease and the imminent release of the AUTOMATICS compilation "1991-2001" (Double LP/Digital Album), we are giving away this special remix that has become more valuable over time, since it’s possibly one of the first remixes Jimmy ever made. Enjoy!!!

Popland and Cinemaspop are two stores (actually three, because Popland has two different premises) from the Malasaña area in Madrid, but they both provide half Spain and abroad with aesthetic pleasures. In Popland, an enormous variety of accessories, garnishing, furniture, records and pop memorabilia on the whole can be found, whereas in Cinemaspop, pop culture comes on the top of movie going and cinema love. Two colouristic concepts with a passionate interest for pop’s different sides, that were to meet Elefant Records’ music.
Both stores have just released the album "Popland 25 hit parade", including that number of successful songs from Elefant Records catalogue: COOPER, LA CASA AZUL, CAMERA OBSCURA, BERLANGA, LE MANS, HEAVENLY or JUNIPER MOON, among others, playing the perfect soundtrack to the lush aesthetic of this retro consumption’s paradise.

We´re happy to bring you “Momentos perdidos” a collection of rarities, b-sides, wrong hits and a bunch of previously unreleased gifts. Lovely souvenirs from such different harbours as Japan, Germany, United States, France, England and, of course, Spain.
“Momentos perdidos” shouldn´t be seen as the usual compilation, nor a balance of the most representative stuff from the last years: we only expect to bring you a collection of delightful songs that, due to different reasons, were hidden in a record or never came to be published.
