BOOTHBY is an electronic band formed by two American guys: Jason Corace and Kelly Slusher. This is their first single, including three fizzy electronic tracks.

They both have separate careers: Kelly Slusher released several singles under her name, in some small American indie labels such as PetSet or Red Square; in April 2002 Elefant Records released worldwide her debut album "Rock and tears": a moving collection of acoustic pop songs, mixing the sweetness of THE SOFTIES with the ethereal moods of GALAXIE 500.

On the other hand Jason Corace had already released five singles as A BOY NAMED THOR in labels such as Motorway or Mobstar; as well as a 1998 album for Black Bean and Placenta.

Then Jason and Kelly decided to join forces in BOOTHBY, and here are the results, showing the best qualities of each of them: Jason writes short electropop numbers, humble though imaginative; the fresh and catchy "Everybody knows" is a very good sample of his work. Kelly supplies her delicate, evanescent vocals. The combination of both brings us a charming, colourful debut single.

To complete this single, there’s a more relaxed track ("A stupid thrill called love") and a delightful instrumental miniature ("Click/pop"). Three songs recorded in Philadelphia, Sacramento and Boston during a period of four months.

Jason and Kelly are currently writing songs for their debut album which is due to be released in U.S. label March Records. But you can enjoy this appetizer now, specially if you like FUTURE BIBLE HEROES, MAGNETIC FIELDS, NEW ORDER, LA CASA AZUL, PACIFIC…
