After their new line-up and the magnificent album “El Fin Del Mundo”, COLA JET SET continue giving us presents in the way of singles, in this case it is a total statement of purpose. “Lo Mejor Está Por Llegar” is the latest digital single from the album, which includes two previously unreleased songs (both written by Alícia, who continues to prove herself as a stronghold in the current version of the Catalan band) and a really fun video. The title track gives us one of the best pop-punk moments on the album, reminding us of some of the best moments from the group’s beginnings. “Escríbeme A Mí” coincides with one of the most successful lines of work in recent times: a precise soul-pop track that, through a wink to BLONDIE, creates a tribute to the music and all the bands we are fans of, to that indescribable feeling that only music can give us. “Septiembre”, the closing track, talks about all the heartaches and bitter feelings that the end of summer leaves, all together in the month that brings the start of school with it. The video is directed by Ángela Ulloa again, and it takes us through a fun sort of Groundhog Day with reality repeating itself over and over. COLA JET SET is making sure that “El Fin Del Mundo” continues to be a marvelous place to visit once in a while. “Me Levantaré” is their new single, with two previously unreleased songs and a fantastic and colorful video by Ángela Ulloa.

“Me Levantaré” is an irresistible, hyper-energized anthem; in the video,Ángela focuses on the group’s colorful sound and highlights the healing power of music while we watch COLA JET SET intensely play such a hit.

On this digital single we find two extra songs that overflow with the group’s more melodic qualities. “Maravillas” is a nostalgic pop song that references Lewis Carroll’s novel and his universe of fantasy. “Sin Mirar Atrás” is prodigious northern soul; the song pushes us into the morning like a good bowl of chocolate cereal.

All this time, on top of very carefully and lovingly preparing this new album, they have been busy with so many other professional and personal things – especially Felipe, who has been touring non-stop around Spain and Mexico with the triumphant return of LOS FRESONES REBELDES. They began recording the album in 2013 and in this period of time, Ana, Cristina and Joan Pernil have left the group, and other musicians have temporarily formed part of it, like Estel and Anna. But now Felipe is back, and this time Alícia is in charge of the lead vocals, so the current COLA JET SET line-up is Alícia on vocals and guitar, Dani on bass, Felipe on solo guitar and 12-string, Manel on keyboards, Matt on guitar, Ruth on backing vocals and percussion, Toni on drums and Gerard Civat participating as a producer and on backing keyboards.

After a brief pause in April because of Easter week, Elefant Club is back with a new, huge party in Siroco club. Three groups that represent Elefant’s current musical line-up and one famous DJ will get on stage and make sure everyone has an unforgettable night, like they’ve done in previous editions of Elefant Club.

 COLA JET SET are more than just Elefant’s current music. They are one of the groups who best represent the recent history of our label, and who are currently doing promotion for their new English-language single “Listen and repeat” at important international events like the Glasgow Popfest (UK) or the NYC Popfest (USA), where they will also perform a semi-acoustic concert to introduce their new line-up: Ana, the group’s vocalist, is leaving, as is Estel, the group’s other bassist; both want to focus more on their careers and their families. In their place, Alicia will step in as the lead vocalist, without leaving behind her guitar and keyboards. This concert will be a special occasion that will include new songs as well as part of their old repertoire. LOS BONSÁIS will perform in our club for the second time, to present new songs and their second video, “Temporal”. COLA JET SET At  NYC Popfest 2012 with the presentation of “Listen and Repeat” with their new line-up 

After their stop at Popfest in Madrid, Berlin and Glasgow in 2011, COLA JET SET have been invited to participate in New York’s (USA) Popfest this year. The 2012 NYC POPFEST will be held from May 17th to the 20th in various theatres and clubs in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Groups likeTHE POOH STICKS, COMET GAIN, LADYBUG TRANSISTOR, PUSHY PARENTS (Elefant Records), WHITE TOWN, SPEEDMARKET AVENUE (Elefant Records) and THE WAVE PICTURES, among many others, will also be present, in what will clearly be a dream ensemble for any indie pop devotee. 

It’s the perfect occasion for COLA JET SET to introduce their new EP “Listen and Repeat” to the U.S. The EP was recorded in English as an homage to all the British and American friends they’ve made through social networks and their concerts in Liverpool, London, Glasgow and the 2009 Indietracks festival in Derby. 

It’s also the perfect occasion to introduce the group’s new line-up: Ana and Estel are leaving CJS to focus on their work and their families, and Alicia is taking over as lead vocalist, but without leaving the guitar or the keyboards behind. COLA JET SET is one of Elefant label’s national groups that are creating the greatest legion of fans in the Anglo-Saxon public, as anyone could see in their recent shows in the UK. That’s why, as a special present to their English fans, they are releasing a single with some of their most well-known songs translated into English, as well as a few covers of foreign groups. The band from Barcelona with a constantly growing roster of band members, which currently includes Ana (voice), Felipe (guitars), Ester and Ruth (backing vocals), Dani (bass), Alicia (voice and guitar), Joan (drums) and Manel (keyboards), gives a different nuance to their music with English phonemes. We can rediscover “En Esta Pista Ya No Se Puede Bailar” under the new title, “The Land Where We Can Dance Forever”. Song: Los Chicos Hoy Saltarán A La Pista (LA CASA AZUL)

It took many months of work but we can finally announce, with much joy and satisfaction, the release of “L-FUN 45 (Summer of love)”, the first independent musical videogame for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, a fun application that will get all of the label’s fans excited. The videogame is full of the Elefant universe and our groups. It was created and developed by Dolores Entertainment, a young and promising company that develops mobile phone applications and videogames, and that shares Elefant’s spirit of independent work and passion for music. Dolores Entertainment, who recently celebrated their first anniversary as a company, started their voyage with more classic-styled games with a more direct dynamic, like “Vectron” or “Spanish Chiringuito”. Now, they are official providers for TV3 and they are working on some different, very interesting projects that we’ll be hearing about soon, but L-FUN 45 is their most ambitious project so far.

L-FUN 45 is an interactive musical, a game where the music isn’t just an excuse to smash buttons, but instead it tells us a love story. Lyrically, these new songs have a surprising corrosive breath hidden under a certain vindicating pose, acid and sarcastic, about such transcendental concepts as those that give the titles to the songs.
