Cape Canaveral, 1969. Some decades before Pedro Duque was honoured as the first Spanish man to travel into space, two fellow countrymen were launched into space in search of new planets to dance twist all over, hold wild parties and boast of their exclusive, ultrasophisticated spacesuits.

Unfortunately, once they were in orbit our kitsch astronauts decided to pass over all their superiors´ instructions, and spend all the journey playing impossibly loud their singles of sixties singers like Mina, Patty, Lulu or Sandie, dancing to them like crazy and ignoring at all the spaceship controls. Needless to say they took almost 30 years to accomplish a mission that could have been fulfilled in less than a week in normal conditions. Both the NASA and the public media gave them up for lost and the world forgot about the whole affair.

Till one day in 1998 the silver rocket landed on Spain with our heroes in an excellent condition. Well, almost. Their first words for the media shocked the whole world: "We want to form a pop band". Maybe it wasn´t a very sensible decision, but nobody expects a sensible decision from someone who has spent three decades wandering about the galaxy.

When composing, CYBER YE-YE set their minds in the golden sixties. Quite logical: they have been hundreds of light years away from the last mutations and evolutions of pop music for such a long time that they´re not very interested in its current state. But as they not want to be taken for some old- fashioned poseurs, they use the title track of this single to pay tribute to the world wide web, one of the most cautivating modern advances of our times, in their own words. In fact, you´d better not try to phone them, as the line´s always busy: when they are not navigating, they´re gossiping and spreading scandal all over.

"El teléfono corté", a cover version of their worshipped Françoise Hardy, plus a song to say hello to all their future fans ("Fan Da-Da") complete this 45 rev flying saucer seven inch that will infatuate all fans of trashy, kinky, glam cyber pop. Dance to the CYBER YE-YE beat!!!
