To celebrate the holidays, we have finally made our long-awaited wish come true by creating a festive holiday single to give away to our mates!

With this single we would like to give thanks to everyone who has helped us througout the years, especially fans of the label, without their help none of this would be imposible. A special single with songs which will make us forget all the hard times and help us ring in the New Year with bells and whistles.

Four songs from the latest signed Elefant artists. The most recent one, THE SCHOOL, a project of 8 restless musicians from Cardiff which put out their first song precisely on this single. Last September, they packed their bags and moved off to London to record, under the guidance of Ian Catt, seven delicious songs which will be put out in two singles at the beginning of the year, a sweet and exquisite carol with a very 50’s holiday pop feel to it. Caitlin and Sauna [they are only 6 years old!], our kids HELEN LOVE show their adoration of Joey Ramone is more alive than ever and continues throughout the generations, they create a snowman out of Joey Ramone and this way, Santa Claus won’t have any problems finding them!! Many months have passed ever since HELEN LOVE was signed onto Elefant Records and put out their first single on our label and the endless waiting for the arrival of new songs has been far too long for the group’s fans. A few months ago, when we released the exclusive single "Junk shop discotheque", we ranted and shouted around our joy and our pride because we were releasing a world exclusive 3-track single by one of our all-time favest bands; now you can imagine the enormous happiness we feel when we tell you that we’re multiplying that and have just signed HELEN LOVE to our label!

As hardcore HELEN LOVE fans that we are, this is for us one of the best news ever: the best bubblegum-punk, new wave and pop band in the world is now an Elefant Records recording artist! A dream come true, indeed.

It’s been many years since we’re the number 1 fans in the world of HELEN LOVE. We love their melodies, their musical and lyrical references to the best all-time pop culture, and the uplifting feeling of fun and energy that go along with their songs. And now, at least, we fulfill our long-time dream of releasing an exclusive HELEN LOVE single on Elefant Records! Gabba gabba hey!

"Junk shop discotheque" is a glam-rock bomb with a punk-pop flavour and a scent of disco music and vocoder vocals (echoing Suzi Quatro, DENIM and LA CASA AZUL, all at once), which will surely fill dancefloors in all the funniest pop clubs around the world. This is the main track on a single (CD-single in digipack format and pink-coloured vinyl 7", both in limited editions) which will come out by the end of the summer, and will feature two other songs: "Shut your mouth" and a new mix of the song "Debbie loves Joey" (the original version of which appeared on the EP "The bubblegumkillers", released on American label Sympathy For The Record Industry).
