Ready for a real disco hit? Here it is, brought to you by LES FRÈRES CHECKOLADE, a white-suited French-German electropop three-piece with headquarters in Hamburg.

After playing in the best clubs of their town, LES FRÈRES CHECKOLADE started off their record career with a single that would be deleted in only a couple of weeks; this first single would allow the band to tour the whole country and get his mix of techno pop and disco music popular in German indieland.

The long-time running German indie label Marsh-Marigold would release the band’s debut album in October 2000: "Multiplication de l'amusement" was an amazing, exciting combination of disco beats, eighties synthesizers and bittersweet melodies, materialized in glamorous samples of hyper-dancey, catchy synth pop.

This single for Elefant’s single club features three exclusive remixes from songs by LES FRÈRES CHECKOLADE, signed by SURF and NAOMI, two electropop bands from Berlin.

"Superdisco" has everything to become a smash hit: catchiness, cool French lyrics, electronic beats, hedonism, savoir-faire: all these ingredients together in the same song.

"Hélène" and "Hommage" -the latter featuring some references to NEW ORDER’s classic "Blue Monday"- could be the a-side as well: two wonderful, colorful techno pop tracks that bring to mind the best eighties pop. If you love techno pop, ANDREAS DORAU or BIS, you should be including LES FRÈRES CHECKOLADE in your list of favourites.
