Elefant Records continues to be the protagonist of the soundtracks of many of the new releases on video-streaming platforms. And this time in style. “In Love All Over Again” is the new series by Carlos Montero, creator of series such as “Élite” (which has more than 30 Elefant songs on its soundtrack), “The Mess You Leave Behind” (with 11 Elefant songs in its only season) or “Física Y Química”.
The first season of “In Love All Over Again” has eight episodes and has been released on Netflix last February 14th with the participation of Georgina Amorós, Franco Masini, Carlos González, Guillermo Toledo, Silvia Abril and many more actors and actresses that complete an incredible cast, and the direction of, among others, Carlota Pereda (currently on the front page for the award-winning “Piggy”) or Mateo Gil (“Nobody Knows Anybody”, “Blackthorn”, “The Minions of Midas”). On “In Love All Over Again” we can listen to up to 19 songs that have been released on our label, making up a soundtrack that features artists such as FAMILY, LA CASA AZUL, LA BIEN QUERIDA, JUNIPER MOON, LA MONJA ENANA, NOSOTRÄSH, LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE, COOPER and many more. The perfect musical backdrop for a funny, gentle and down-to-earth romantic comedy, with two protagonists who display superb chemistry. A joy to see and hear.

We’re finally opening our own YouTube channel! There was tons and tons of material to put up (and really, there’s still so much more), and Internet users can finally subscribe to the Elefant Records page on the most famous and visited video website in the world, which can be accessed from this web address: http://www.youtube.com/elefantrecords
For the channel’s official inauguration we’ve put up various new videos, some previously unreleased. You can enjoy the exclusive new video-clip of CORAZON’s “Nuevo Futuro” or SPEEDMARKET’s newest single, “No Drama”, which will be released in July and which we’re releasing the splendid new video-clip of in advance. There are a ton of LA CASA AZUL videos, plus interviews, live videos, reports… but the most exciting thing, for the moment, is definitely the video-clip of the English version of “La Revolution Sexual”. You can also find reports and interviews with COOPER that you most certainly haven’t seen, as well as three songs recorded live for the MySpace special, including the song “Mi Universo”, which is a completely new song not even included on Alex‘s latest work, “Aeropuerto”.
We have more than 100 video-clips from Elefant groups available (yes, all the videos from LA CASA AZUL, COOPER, CAMERA OBSCURA, NOSOTRÄSH, SINGLE, HEAVENLY, LOS FLECHAZOS, LUCKY SOUL, LA BIEN QUERIDA …) and a ton of extra pr [ Read more ]

The events that Elefant is organizing to celebrate our 20th anniversary as a record label this 2009 are beginning. And pay attention because this first date is going to have a lot to lure you in with. This coming Friday, March 27th, in the Ocho y Medio club in Madrid, we can enjoy the cocktail of incredible offers that will make the night one of the must deliciously fun nights for everyone there. And we’ve got so many reasons to say that.
The night will begin at 22:00 with the projection of the latest Elefant video-clips. And as if there weren’t already enough reasons to arrive swiftly and promptly, the first 100 people to arrive will be given SPEEDMARKET AVENUE limited edition 7” singles in delicious colored vinyl.
A few days ago we talked about the incredible success of the second album of the Swedish group SPEEDMARKET AVENUE, “Way Better Now”, whose songs have been chosen as single of the week by media and journalists as important as Steve Lamacq (many say he’s John Peel’s successor) or Radio Q (the well-known Q magazine’s radio media). Well, they’ll finally be playing in Madrid on this first spring Friday, confirming their status as one of the most attractive groups from the international indie panorama. Sharing the stage with SPEEDMARKET AVENUE, and opening the show, LES TRES BIEN ENSEMBLE will present the songs from the precious and marvelous second album, “Rougeole”.
And after the concerts there ar [ Read more ]

The good melodies are timeless. That’s why they must think at El Corte Inglés, because for the fourth consecutive season they’ve chosen LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE’s “À Hélene” for the soundtrack of their “Blancolor” publicity campaign, which will run from January 15th to March 1st. “À Hélène” (taken from their first album, “Doux-Amer”) will be playing, as in the previous years, repeatedly on the radio, television, and in all El Corte Inglés shopping centers. It’s a greater pleasure every time to see publicity on our friend the television. Meanwhile, the group finds themselves enjoyed the sweet results of the reception of their fantastic and recent second album, “Rougeole”, a disc that soberly places them as the heirs of their francophone influences. LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE will also be on tour for the next few months in various Spanish cities, playing their songs live. [ Read more ]

After three intense years since their debut album, "Doux-Amer," they have not stopped for a minute. Have you heard Suzette on the EP "Sing Along With the ACID HOUSE KINGS" from the Swedish group, ACID HOUSE KINGS (another one of Johan’s groups- from CLUB 8 and THE LEGENDS) or their song "A Hélène" in the "Blancolor" three year campaign of the Spanish store, El Corte Ingléscategoría; Maybe you saw them live at the Benicassim Festival or the Lemon Pop Festival in Murcia or on television when they played "Live Concerts for Radio 3," or maybe you were one of their die-hard fans who traveled to England to follow their mini-tour with THE WOULD-BE GOODS, with excellent performances in London, Nottingham and Oxford. Perhaps you saw them live in France. LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE are back with a new album which should mean a peak in their musical career. With the new incorporation of Charles Gasqué, the one and only Carlos Andreu (GASCA), the band from Barcelona has put out an exquisite piece of work of unique pop, where it is precisely the time of leitmotif which pushes and inspires the majority of songs on this album. "The title, "Rougeole" (“measles” in French) makes reference to something that only time can heal. Time means life and death all at once, something out of human control which inexplicably advances to a particular destiny. "Rougeole" talks ab [ Read more ]

Once again and for the second season in a row, the song "A Hélène" by LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE will back the new "Blancolor" campaign announcing the biggest Spanish chainstores, El Corte Inglés. From february 15th, and up until the 1st of march, pump up the volume when you hear Suzette‘s voice, and let everybody know about it! Hey, that band on TV is called LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE, and they are fantastic! [ Read more ]

Suzette‘s band toured Spain recently with that legend of indiepop that is the WOULD-BE-GOODS. Both bands shared the bill during three shows in Spain. Elefant and Fortuna Pop!, their respective record labels, took advantage of the tour to release an exclusive CD -"Que Viva Le Pop!"- featuring the best of both catalogues, which was given away to everyone who bought a ticket for the shows.
And now is the moment to return the visit and repeat the same joint action in the UK. WOULD-BE-GOODS and LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE will play together in late June in London, Nottingham and Oxford, and the tour line-up will be complete with the names of THE CUT-OUTS and THE CHEMISTRY EXPERIMENT. And, of course, with the ticket the crowd will receive their free copy of the "Que Viva Le Pop!" compilation. These are not the only shows of LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE outside Spain though, because next May 13th they will perform at the Fairfield Café in Toulouse (France), supported by local band MOMOTTE.

If you come to Spain this winter, it’s quite possible you will end up buying something in one of the many stores El Corte Inglés has spread over the whole country. El Corte Inglés is the main big chainstore in Spain, and they’ve had the great taste to choose a song by Elefant Records’ recording artists’ LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE for their new publicity campaign, "Blancolor".
During the months of january, february and march, if you’re in Spain or Portugal you will probably hear Suzette‘s sweet voice on the TV and radio adverts of this chainstore, singing the song "À Hélène", taken from "Doux-amer", the debut album by LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE. [ Read more ]

Suzette, the singer with LES TRÈS BIEN ENSEMBLE, sings on the new forthcoming EP by Swedish band ACID HOUSE KINGS: “Everyone sings along with Acid House Kings” (as the EP will be called, as an in-joke twisting the title of the band’s latest album, “Sing along with Acid House Kings”).Suzette sings a French language version of the song “This heart is a stone” (its new title being “Ce coeur est de pierre”) on the record due to be released via Swedish label Labrador on February 8th 2006. Along with her we find other four versions by several well-known names in Scandinavian pop: Magnus Carlson, Lasse Lindh, Montt Mardié y Don Lennon.

Japanese label Rambling Records, which released in Japan NIZA’s “Canciones de temporada”, is well known and respected by its excellent editions of soundtracks (of such geniuses as Ennio Morricone), as well as deluxe compilations in diverse styles as easy listening or international pop. In fact, Rambling has used plenty times many songs from the Elefant catalogue for its compilations.
Since last year, Elefant and Rambling have started a collaboration which reflects in a series of compilations based in songs taken from Elefant’s big catalogue, chosen by both Rambling Records and ourselves. In 2004 came out “Amapola”, a compilation of quiet, relaxed atmosphere, which was very well received in Japan. In july this year, making the most of our visit to Japan for the Elefant parties with NIZA and LA CASA AZUL, Rambling will release a new reference on this series of compilations: “Candy Box”, in a much poppier and melodic style.
The tracklists from both compilations are as follow:
CANDY BOX01. Si me alejaste [ENTRE RÍOS]02. I love my Jean [CAMERA OBSCURA]03. Ups to you [ANNA & THE SPECTORS]04. Parasol [NIZA]05. Una mañana [ME ENVENENO DE AZULES]06.
