TRACKLIST: 01 Canción Para Mi Crush  02 Perdona Mamá

LISASINSON’s new video tells us everything we need to know about who they are and what they sing about. There are no friendships like the ones you have when you are 20. There are no adventures like the ones you have when you are 20. There is no moment in your life like when you are 20. However, “Canción Para Mi Crush”, this song we are releasing in advance of their upcoming Mini-LP as part of our “New Adventures In Pop” collection, is a significant step forward in their sound. The urgency, the immediacy, the self-assurance, the irreverence are all still there, of course, but we are looking at a song that is much more permeable to modern sounds, with a more complex structure, and with a touch of punk mixed through the whole thing. The result is practically unheard of, and also meets all the requirements of the generational anthems. Something to listen to again and again.

What’s more, with this Digital Single, we are also advancing a previously unreleased track that will not be included on the already mentioned Mini-LP but that, curiously, will give it its name. “Perdona Mamá” is a tribute to rebellion – straightforward and unrepentant. Punk rock straight to your veins, with its dose of bile and its liberating spirit. So catchy you can barely take it, electricity that makes our eardrums melt. Watch out for their streaming; we [ Read more ]

TRACKLIST: 01 Volverte A Enamorar

Each new song that we get from LISASINSON raises our serotonin levels. Their self-confidence, their solid and open-minded sound, their freshness and energy, all make us soar in the barely two minutes their punk-pop shots usually last. “Volverte A Enamorar”, their new Digital Single, is an immediate hit, and in it, our protagonists overflow with vitality and rays of light, the same as groups like HELEN LOVE, THE FLATMATES and AXOLOTES MEXICANOS. In the video, made by Victoria Herranz and Mar, we can see the band doing what they know how to do best – have fun, play music, make jokes, hang out together and share that authentic and unique joie de vivre. This is a perfect song for this sunny summer that is just about to come to a close, and as the new advance of what will be their highly anticipated debut Mini-LP, which they are in the final stages of recording and which will be released very soon on a beautiful 10” color vinyl.

Tracklist: 01- Atasco 02-Casamiento

It wasn’t so long ago that we gave you “Barakaldo”, the first song from the Valencian quartet, LISASINSON, for Elefant Records. Miriam (vocals and guitar), Mar (vocals and guitar), María (drums and backing vocals) and Roser (bass and backing vocals) are creating a revolution in the pop scene with just one song. And of course, they are also traveling all over the peninsula with a live presentation of their precocious punk-pop. Today, we are finally bringing you their anticipated new Single, with two songs that confirm just how promising this group is. It is a combination of ultra-melodic punk-pop that moves between messages with a feminist, social message (inspired by the normalization of violence against certain groups in society) and the freshness and cheekiness of youth.

“Atasco” is a great example; it is a song dedicated to women who are no longer with us. Musically, it begins with that precious sixties opening, reminding us of THE RONETTES or THE SHIRELLES, to then throw itself head first into speedy guitars, while they shout at us, with concern and urgency, “Las chicas ya no volverán a bailar jamás” (The girls will never dance again). This contrast is what makes the feeling of it being an anthem even stronger, a song full of signs and symbols, but also full of evidence, solid. They are not afraid to be straight with us and, at the same t [ Read more ]

The excitement and the emotion we feel when we introduce the first songs from a newly-signed artist are always special. We just met LISASINSON a few days ago, and we were immediately won over by their bubbly-pop-punk, and we already have their first Single, “Barakaldo”. LISASINSON is a graphic and musical project that started in November 2018 at the Fine Arts campus in Valencia, with Miriam (vocals and guitar), Mar (vocals and guitar) and María (drums and backing vocals). They quickly found their identity: punk drum lines, pop guitar melodies, brazen lyrics, or as they like to call it “punky pop”. And that’s how “Barakaldo” came about, recorded with the indispensable help of Pau Nadal, who, in addition to recording the album, produced it and played bass on it. The first song is a clear example of what we were talking about: attitude, aim, unleashed spirits, and, fortunately, no prejudices. How would they define ití “It’s an ironic song about what an idiot you turn into when you fall in love”. We couldn’t have said it better.

And that’s when their friend Victoria Herranz shows up, with an idea for their first video, and that is the apex. There, in three minutes, we can see these three girls unleash their magic, their message that “they’re three million galaxies from this world”. And we understand their magnetism. And we are hopelessly in love. Total addiction, the catchy punk [ Read more ]
