The Argentinian duo have been making marvelously moody Moog music for over 15 years and this is a preview of their new album due out in a few weeks. This time, they’ve opted for a slightly different apprach – a recreation and loving tribute of the hedonistic deca-dance of Studio 54 and the late night/early morning disco scene of the ‘70s. ‘Fire In The Disco’ could easily have sat on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack, but Mariana Badaracco and Pablo Dahy give their moogy workouts a 21st century spin, complete with freaky, outta space bleeps and bloops, and trippy, ‘fa-la-la’ wordless vocals. File next to your Barbarellasoundtrack and boogie-oogie-oogie the night away.
